What are the characteristics of your product?

How would you like to pack it? In a box, tray or display?

Or do you dare to try something more creative?

Think outside the box!

Step 02

Choose the type of paper

National

dibujo explicando el papel nacional

All paper that has its manufacturing process within Mexican territory.

Imported

dibujo explicando el papel importado

Paper that comes from abroad, regardless of the country.

Virgin

The fiber used for the production of this type of paper comes from wood cellulose.

Recycled

dibujo de arbol para papel reciclado

Paper and wood processed as a production base, that is, it comes from recycled materials. However, this does not compromise the properties and resistance of the cardboard.

step 03

Choose the type of Liner

The liner is the layer on top of the cardboard, that is, the one we see. Printing is done on this. We offer colored liners

KRAFT or WHITE

Flute

Style

One-sided corrugated

There are several types of flutes, which are classified by their size, depending on the height and the number of waves per meter. The larger the flute, the thicker the corrugation.

These flutes are classified by letters, below we mention some of the most common.

The flutes A, C and B are commonly used for collective or master packaging boxes in which it is sought to have a high resistance to stowage and protect the product from mistreatment during its handling and shipment from the manufacturer to the retail distributor.

Triple corrugated

Simple corrugated

Flute A

0.75-0.90mm

1.1-1.8mm

2.1-3.0mm

Double corrugated

3.2-4.0mm

It is the result of four liners together with three grooved sheets glued in the middle of the first four. It is an extremely resistant cardboard, used for articles and tasks that involve extreme weights.

It is a rigid structure formed by a wavy element (wave) glued to two flat elements (liners).

It is a rigid structure made up of three flat elements (liners) glued to two interspersed wavy elements (waves).

It is a flexible structure formed by a glued wavy element (wave).

Steps 04 and 05

step 06

Define the Resistance

The resistance level of a corrugated cardboard package refers to the maximum load that it supports itself. This depends on the product you will pack and the size of your packaging. It is normally calculated using the McKee Formula.

The correct selection of the resistance is essential for the protection of your product and thus prevent the packaging from collapsing, guaranteeing its stowage and easy handling.

At CYCESA we handle different types of ECT resistance, the most common are:

plain corrugated

20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 40, 44

double corrugated

42, 48, 51, 61, 71, 81

The most common test for endurance is the ECT (Edge Crush Test). Which is used to measure the ability of a box or packaging to withstand compression along the axis of the flutes.

Define if your packaging requires special treatment

step 07

You can choose more than one treatment!

Normally these treatments are for food packaging that requires refrigeration.

MichelMan

It serves to seal the flute and close the pore, which prevents excessive moisture absorption.

Resin

It serves to anchor the flute more strongly to the liners. This reduces the chance that they will come unstuck with moisture.

Waxed

Special for food or products that are frozen inside the box. It is also used in case of placing ice directly on the product inside the box.

A study in the USA showed that the
67%

Step 08

LET'S MAKE IT SEXY

Our design team supports you in all stages of creating your packaging. Including, of course, the print design.

Perfect to stand out in the market!

Your packaging can carry simple printing, such as a logo or text, or plastic printing, which is an extensive layer of printing.

By the color separation method, we can print up to 4 inks!

Define how you would like to receive your product

It is a process that consists of tying a load (cardboard, package) with at least two strapping loops.
